Carefully turned on our vintage wood lathe, our beautiful shawl pins are made from a variety of hardwoods and are thin and light in weight for use on light to medium weight shawls and sweaters.
 
They can also be used as scarf pins and/or hair pins & rings.
 
Individually made, each shawl pin is unique or one-of-a-kind.
 
After being hand turned on our lathe, each is finely sanded to a smooth finish then sealed with Danish oil to accent the wood grain and to protect the wood. It is then buffed with fine wax for a durable finish.
 
With the shawl pin set weighing-in at less than one ounce (28 grams), the shawl pin is about 6 inches (15 cm) in length by 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) at its widest point with a shaft of about 5/16 inch (0.8 cm).
 
The ring is about 5/16 inches (0.8 cm) in thickness with an outside diameter of about 3 inches (7.6 cm) and an opening of about 2 -1/8 inches (5.4 cm) in diameter.
 
Some variations in wood grain might be present due to natural variations in the wood and slight variations in shape might occur because each shawl pin set is individually turned by hand on our lathe.
